This is getting ridiculous, do people cheer for the team or the players, there has been games this year where Dion has played better and there have been games where Triche has been better. Does it matter though as long as we win, they are both good players.

I understand that, but I have seen people in here also bash Dion any chance they get to try and build Triche up so it goes both ways.

If Brandon can score 15 points or so (tonight was 20), this team will hang in with anyone. Great to have someone who can close out games with FT shooting; hit his share of open 3s; finish; and make the occasional great feed. Only minor complaint -- can he stop telegraphing some of those feeds?
Good guard tandem tonight with Scoop, who was dominant on the floor with assists and his own scoring. Next game, Dion can shine.

Having three experienced, capable guards affords JB the luxury of playing the right combination of whichever two are playing better on any given night. It isn't a stretch to suggest that Dion has been the best backcourt player for the most part this season. Well, tonight he had an off-game. Doesn't mean that he stinks, that he's only capable of excelling against lesser competition, that he needs fewer minutes, etc. It just meant that on a night when he had an off game, the other two were the right combination.

Exactly. Basketball is, after all, a team game. No reason, ever, to trash one of our own. We have 9-10 excellent players on our team, anyone of which would be taken in a heartbeat by a score of top programs in the country. Who cares who shines or carries us on any given night? The object of the game is to win.

The Triche thing is just the tip of the iceberg. Almost any time I see Tristan on here I get extremely angry at whatever he's saying.

Most people on this board are Syracuse fans, which means we like all the players who play for Syracuse.

A small number of posters either like certain players more than they like the team or flat-out dislike some of our players. That is something I don't understand.

You missed the - Its time to cut/release Triche or something definitely to that effect. doesn't really matter - he completely hates Triche as a ball player. Believes he is there only due to Howie having been there and especially dislikes the fact that he is from upstate NY for some reason. Anyway just having some fun with him.
