passing stats by quarter are crazy

I'm trying to follow your logic. Running on 1st down and gaining 2 yards is killing our drives but 2nd and 10 after an incomplete pass is better? It's the result of the play, not the method, that is important.

The key is to mix it up on all downs so that you're not predictable. Passing every first down will tip your hand as well. I also think we do mix it up pretty well. I think people see what they want to see. People grumble when a 1st down run gains 1-2 yards and say things like, "we ALWAYs run up the middle on 1st down!" regardless of if it was a pass on the prior 1st and 10.

There is no logic. I don't care if it's predictable. If it's effective it works. The world knew julio jones was going to get the targets but he still had 300 yards. Crazy comparison? Absolutely.

Ill take the chance throwing three straight times, assuming you even miss on first down, compared to running for two yards on first. Throw to Tawo 20 times. Let's go crazy baby!

The Neal run up the middle near the goal one was maddening, but I believe some of that is on Dungey. I think sometimes he hands the ball off when he should be keeping it.

I think what made it most frustrating was that it essentially came after a timeout. Dungey was incorrectly ruled in on the previous play. So other than the OL, everyone else went to the sideline. That play and its personnel should be well known. I get that moving at light speed will lead to some incorrect reads. Just wasn't the case there.

Thankfully we got in on 4th down, but that was all Dungey. When he stepped to the side and didn't move I thought oh ***. But then he somehow found his way across the line.

Where has the power formation gone? The one time Neal had a run over 3 yards there was an OL and Ruff in the backfield. So why in the heck have we not seen that since?

You just gave me an idea for this week's #AskDino

It was that upside down wishbone. Don't think I've seen it since Colgate. Lasker was the OL, who is on the starting line now, but I'd assume someone else can handle it.
