If by Alabama you mean Coastal Alabama Community College. After the way this season is going not sure Bama would want him.Dabo will end up in Alabama

I honestly don't think he is perfect for Clemson. He really seems perfect for Syracuse. Like you said Syracuse is a lot closer to Camden than Clemson is and in many more ways than distance. You gotta think some Clemson big money are thinking about replacing Dabo with Fran. Fran got them into the playoffs last year and just school'd them at home. He's perfect for Clemson. But, I agree with others who say he will stay if he gets the support. Syracuse is a lot closer to Camden than Clemson.

As long as he gets the support I do not see him going anywhere. He can build something great here and keep it going. Legend status.
Why go to Clemson or an SEC school and deal with all of that?
All he needs is support and a path to a National Championship.
As long as Fran is properly supported here he stays. This is as close to home as he can be, The only other would be Pittsburgh, and they play in a Professional Stadium away from the campus. Also how he has branded the program with DART is unique and burrows deeper into the program as a whole even if that is the definition of a Fran Brown team. When you put all of yourself and your best into something and your true methodology it goes far deeper than a job. It also is something that you don’t just pick up and carry with you as that brand runs synonymous with FB at SU.
Picking up and carrying DART to a bigger program doesn’t make a lot of sense nor is it easy to do. In fact it can become cheesy and too self promoting vs true to the person from an optics standpoint.
Obviously money talks and if we don’t support him properly then it becomes a decision he has to make based on his value not being appreciated.
I just can’t see the university failing on that front.

He wants to bring back eastern football the way it was in the 80's and 90's.
Rutgers has no money. They can’t afford to pay Shady to not coach while paying a new coach.I mean… Rutgers is pretty close to home?
Rutgers and Penn State are the only two head coaching openings that would make me clench a little.
And believe me he knows Penn States past under Paterno, and it doesn't fit with his believes.Rutgers has no money. They can’t afford to pay Shady to not coach while paying a new coach.

Yup. We will pay him what we need to in order to keep him.6m
Solid assistant money
15 to 16 out of the 20.3
Additional 10m in NIL
The better the NIL resources, the better our chances at keeping roster retention strong and bringing in more 5-star and 4-star talent. Top recruits and transfers are looking for programs that can support them on and off the field, and NIL has become one of the biggest factors in their decisions. If Syracuse wants to compete with the best, it starts with investing in that area.We need to start stepping up our NIL game if we’re serious about turning this team into true national contenders. The talent pool is out there, but without the right NIL backing, we’ll lose players to other programs that are already ahead of us. Building stronger NIL opportunities could be the key to elevating Syracuse to the next level.Yup. We will pay him what we need to in order to keep him.
But the additional NIL is key. We need businesses to step up. Only so much individual donors can do.
Local businesses will continue to step up as the program improves. There will be a tangible roi as more locals flock to a winning program.Yup. We will pay him what we need to in order to keep him.

I really don't think the outgoing Chancellor is making that kind of decision. He would go along with whatever the BOT wanted. The reality of all this needs to factor in his agent, Jimmy Sexton.
Sexton is legendary for getting his clients nice extensions at the potential threat of a client going elsewhere. Florida State does well in 2023, boom, Norvell gets 8 years/$84 million.
He’s also the agent to most of the SEC I believe.
I would think he would be licking his chops to get his client into Florida (and face his mentor Kirby Smart annually.)
All this to say: John Wildhack, of all people, knows how this game is played and Sexton is undoubtedly already playing it. But would an outgoing Chancellor give the authority to sign off on a large extension? That would what I am curious about…

100% agree. Fran knows what he has on this YOUNG roster. You have main pieces on this roster contributing in a huge way that are on this roster for at least 2 more years. Not to mention the recruiting class coming in.no inside information but I feel this isn’t a soon-ish problem. I think he wants to see out at least the next two years.
I’d be more concerned about other schools in the northeast / mid Atlantic than I would SEC schools. Fran needs to be on the east coast. The reality of all this needs to factor in his agent, Jimmy Sexton.

Didn't Doug Marrone say Syracuse was his dream job, but left four years later?Did Fran not say he was only gonna coach until his daughter was 16 or something like that so he could spend more time with her during her really formative years which was only like 7 more years at the time he got hired.
Jeez people, he’s a straight shooter, believe his word until something happens to the contrary.
The dude came from dirt floor poor, he’s making the money he wants/needs to live the good life and be where he wants to be well into the future.
