Payout for Texas Bowl

So i read that the payout for the Texas Bowl is $1.7 million. If it wasn't for Macky Macphereson jumping on that fumble by Hunt, we don't get this $1.7 million.

Having said that, I hope Dr. Gross takes that money and puts it directly to the Indoor Practice Facility. That Facility will do absolute wonders for our program. We see already the benefits we've obtained from the Melo Center (Mens team high rankings, and women's team in addition).

I've heard that the IPF has had some trouble with funding, we'll heres a quick $1.7 million! I hope they use it wisely.

The money goes into a pot and split 15 ways so we don't get all of it.

I think arbi has projected our take home to be $3 millionish in another thread. So that helps for sure.

We don't get that. It's distributed evenly among all conference members. And if we don't sell the school's allotment of tickets most of the money we get will go towards that.

The only additional $$ we get from being in a bowl compared to not, is the travel stipend.

1.7m/15 so that fumble recovery netted us ~$113,000. The good news is, our overall bowl payout will be over 2x the 1.7m.

This is starting to remind me of the Barry Baker topic (does his scholarship count against our limit?)
