Pearl vs mark Jackson

Holy ned. without that three point line , you talk about packing in the zone. there were literally ten men within 20 feet of each other most of the game on our end.

Look at that Pearl highlight at 1:20 if that video. I mean...just wow. He was just toying with people.
When he wraps the ball around his back ... it looks like his arm is 6 feet long.

That's the 4th or 5th classic game I've watched on YouTube over the past year and one thing is certain: The Dome was exponentially louder in the 80s and early 90s than it has been for the last 15+ years.

Wow, that crowd was loud all throughout the game.

I miss the "you! you! you!" chant on fouls.

And LOL at the commentator continuing to complain about Carnesecca after the fact for not calling a timeout to setup a play, when they got a very makeable 5 footer that would've tied the game.

My brother in law and I kept that going for years. People would look at us like we had two heads.

I love these guys!!! Look at the rosters!!! Dagnabit!

Al McGuire kicks ass as an announcer.

I almost forgot why Rafael is one of my all timers!

The comment from Al, that all seats in the Carrier Done are $11 no matter where you sit. Was that true at the time? We had season tickets bought by my parents at that time as I was a little guy. I do seem to remember season tickets being something like $120 though, which seemed like a fortune at the time.

As I remember it, yes (don't know if it was exactly $11 that season). There was a waiting list for certain season tickets, an extra donation required for Orange Pack, but pricing for single-game seats was flat. This continued until sales started to decline in the early '90s, then SU started to discount single-game "long range view" seats on the other side of the curtain once no one wanted to buy season tickets in those seats.

I can't recall the $11 all seats thing, but I do remember the LRV tickets being less...because sometimes that's what we could afford. But we are always there.

I'm not an "old-timer" as I start when The Dome opened, but there is no question that I remember it being WAY WAY louder back then.

What a great trip back to times of yore.

Those NBC graphics were worthy of George Michael's Sports Machine.

I wish SU would bring those back. The prospect of paying $45 to see Notre Dame on a Thursday night with 19,000 people in the house isn't exactly packing them in.

So funny listening to them make fun of fat guys in the crowd, etc. That zone with no 3 point line. The guards were below the FT line!
