So back to early on - how was that one helmet to helmet not targeting? Is there a rule change at play?

No rule change, MAC ref not wanting to put Ohio in a hole on the kickoff. If you went to the rule book and wanted to add a video of targeting, that would be the play. Lowered helmet, struck with the crown of the helmet above the shoulders. The review it and not call is is pathetic.

He’s going to get some strip sacks by running the hoop. T’s are going to run him off when his ears are pinned back, but he’s got enough bend and speed to get to where he needs to.

Spoon was laughing and jogged off the field, according to the sideline reporter. So that's good news.

Hopefully it was just a sprain, and not a high ankle sprain. Taking him out and putting him in a boot is just smart and safe at that point. He wasn't going back in the game.

I saw 2 or 3 that weren't called. Two against McCord and that one against Allen on the sideline with the guy's shoulder to the head.

we beat ohio. mccord after a very shaky start figured out the D. and we got a lot of game tape to figure out who's exactly what. fran brown's gonna sit some boys down. 1-0 baby !

O looked good after first series.
D needs work on run stopping, rushing the QB (too many times when no pressure on QB at all), and coverage which will suffer if no pressure. Basically all facets on D need to improve.

Losing Wax is going to hurt.

Getting Wax dinged will leave our D hurting.
