All over social media, you read how Hurts is the 3rf QB from Bama to win the SB MVP. But didn't Hurts leave Bama because he couldn't beat out Tua so he transfered to Oklahoma, where he had much better stats..

So then, if you google " Oklahoma Super Bowl MVP", you get results that say that Hurts is the 1st QB from Oklahoma to win the MVP. So I guess that Troy Aikman wouldn't count.

I'm just thinking about how Google will react when McCord is the Super Bowl MVP in five years.

My beers at home were the real MVP, got me through that terrible game

FIFY.

j/k - I didn't even bother watching it (was following a bit on my phone).

We're rewatching the prior season of Outlander, so we can jump into the newer stuff and recall what the heck is going on.

I loved that game. I am so over hearing about the invincibility of Mahomes and seeing Taylor Swift everytime Kelsy makes a play. And I root against Reid for screwing over McNabb by not giving him all the toys Mahomes has had prior to this year. I've only ever had more fun watching football when Syracuse plays well in a big game.

All due respect but...who cares?
Right now I have to put up with these obnoxious Philly fans and their hideous "E.AG.L.E.S., duh...Eagles" schtick.
Well, at least we know some of them can spell, but other than that, they have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
And yes...I'm fricken bitter as hell!

Yes, but I guess that makes Bama appear even better? They benched the Super Bowl MVP at halftime so their backup qb could win a college NatChamp or maybe they just didnt know how to utilize Hurts properly?

Im going with they failed Hurts and he had to transfer to showcase his abilities & to receive proper coaching.

I pray that most Nat Champs in the near and distant future come from any cônference not named Sec B10 .

They are awful. I loved Mcnabb but I could not pull for Phi bc of how unlikable and obnoxious a good amount of their fans are.

It can be spun a bunch of different ways. Did they bench him in favor of their back up or their future starter? Did they fail him or was that an impetus for him to work harder on his faults and become a better QB?

As recently as the middle of this season he had teammates questioning his passing ability. He had a great game and he's a great player that has faults.

I'm with you. I will root for any team outside the B1G and SEC over those two.

Any good will they created by making viewership free was burnt up by making us watch those hideous commercials. They were even worse than the puppy monkey baby commercials.
That commercial with Seal as a seal was a bit much. But I’m honestly surprised if it hadn’t already been done before

The NCAA website has it as Oklahoma, so all is right in the world.
Alabama technically did have 3 times since Starr won it twice and then Namath.

I've realized that most sports traditions are pretty stupid to any outside observer, but get wrapped up with personal memories to the inside fans which is why they are treasured.

Back during the 2017 Eagles playoff run, part of the bedtime routine with my then 4 and 2 year old was singing "Fly Eagles Fly". A couple years later, eagle was one of my daughter's spelling words. It was hilarious when she would practice her words at homework time - E-A-G-L-E was accompanied by a fist pump, with a quiet whispered "S - EAGLES!" at the end every time.

McNabb was what made me become an Eagles fan. I had grown up a Cowboys fan but bailed on them when Jerry took over. Firing Landry followed by hiring Jimmy was it for me.

My dad knew several guys that were NFL coaches, so we cheered for whatever teams his buddies coached for. With turnover of NFL coaches being so high, that meant our allegiances changed almost annually. I “settled in” on the Eagles when McNabb was there…but I don’t think I’ll ever have super strong emotional ties or hatred for any team.

Every fan base has good fans and jerks. Every team has guys you can admire, and guys you’d rather avoid. It’s probably best not to get too attached to laundry.
