C'mon now...you're both paranoid.

We complained about announcers, tv coverage, schedules and everything else in the Big East. Now we do the same thing, but it's just a north south thing.

Nonsense. No one believes that. What I believe, is that we are not a featured player in the league. More of a add on. We were used to being a top dog. Whether we want to admit it or not, we are in a southern league. the league office is in the south. The major players are southern teams.

Well, there is that small matter of being 39-43 since joining the ACC, so you are correct in stating we are not a featured player in the league. Why should we be. They tend to designate the featured teams as the teams that play well year in and out.
We were not used to being the top dog in the B.E. We weren't even a featured team in the B.E. Even in Marrones 2 good years, we finished 4th.

This was a working on things game and from what I heard that didn't come across.

I didn't disagree with what they said. I didn't like the tone the game was called. We did win 41-3.

It was the stupidest (in terms of football IQ) blow out win I’ve seen.
The offense couldn’t figure out the defense which was littered with freshman.
The coaches couldn’t adjust to a defense that dropped 8 yet again.
The running game was meh.
Our QB was not accurate most of the game.
Our OL was poor at best.
Special teams was solid (the starters).
Defense was great and generated lots of pressure, was bummed we didn’t get an INT.
When played bad, made lots of stupid mistakes, and overall they where right to call out our terrible.
Sure they could have been a bit more upbeat but why we didn’t give them much to go on.

I appreciated the breakdown - Example, overhead view showing us in max protect with 3 guys out in long developing routes completely blanketed. Helps for those of us wondering why Devito won’t pull the trigger and/or why nobody is open.

Mark Richt is pretty bad though. He’s a “name” but he sucks the life out of what is otherwise a very solid “The Huddle” crew.

Glad I was at the game and missed the broadcast. One positive I though was the two tight end formation. Slot receivers stink this year. Not sure what the problem is, I am not that smart. If they can’t get yards then take them out. Hackett and Benson are solid. Poor Elmore dropped the first two passes to him. Not sure he sees another this season. Benson can really run. Hackett is very balanced player. He blocks, catches and runs well. Interesting to see what happens against N.C. State.

Ha, can't blame the 'ol dude though. He's a seasoned successful coach that went from being a big deal at Georgia, then to the U, only to be stuck in some studio with a bunch of intern equivalents.

MS is one of my favorite posters as well. This was unexpected.

He put up some big numbers, and some big plays, but like Julian pointed out, he pretty much did all his damage on 1 route last year. A slant over the middle. Other than that he had a few big plays on busted coverage in which he was wide open. He predicted a major decline in production this year, and once again, he was right.
Nykiem? I have no clue what's wrong with him. He was the guy I thought would really bust out this year.

This was a bad HC team with almost no talent. It was basically a scrimmage against Rutgers 2nd and 3rd string, maybe only the 3rd string. The score is really irrelevant unless you’re looking for something to feel good about. There was a lot not to like and to be concerned about in this game. A lot. Watching this game live with no commentating around didn’t make this game any better. Any criticism by fans or commentators is fair.

Agree about Nykiem. I was pumped to have him for a couple more years after last year. Got a couple catches today that I thought would get him going and then screwed up the punt.

That punt was inexcuseable. We didn't see dumb s--- from these guys last year. I'm beginning to question their focus, and effort, and that is a bad sign.

There is certainly a bias against the newbies by the old guard of the ACC but when you go 5-16 on third down and can’t do much on the ground against Holy Cross I think we got what we deserved by the announcers. As far as Richt he is a corpse, Bernie from Weekend at Bernie’s without the sunglasses on

That and Senior leadership have been a big concern for me. I know some folks shrug off the leaving before the alma mater thing but I found it telling to a degree
