Petar Majstorovic in the portal from Long Beach St

No. Petar is from Serbia and 3M from Slovenia. The countries are fairly close (about a 4.5 hou drive, mostly through Croatia) but I suspect they do not get along well.

I am not a geography major but I think these countries were all once part of Yugoslavia. Pretty sure the West grouped a bunch of ethnic groups together as one country that hated each other and it didn;t work long term.

As an aside, Marek is from Slovakia, which was once part of Czechoslovakia. It is about 7 hours drive from Slovenia to Slovakia. This concludes this very Eastern Europe oriented geography post.

I don't remember Petar crawling into a ball whining and playing around on the 3 point line like Donnie did against tougher competition.

Between mid Jan and mid Feb his freshman year here he was averaging 20 mins a game against top tier ACC bigs. Sure we lost all those games. He's got plenty of experience and if we can get him on the cheap to be a deep bench piece then cool.

Petar can pass, set picks and move without the ball. Those abilities would pair nicely with what Morano, Doty and Moesch do. Euro ball offense stuff.

Folefac can play defense and provide toughness. Looks like he is smart and a good athlete and will improve offensively. Do we have playing time and money for both?

Probably not if we retain White or sign a stretch 4 who can score (hopefully good outside shooter).

Lots of tough decisions to be made….

And I don’t remember him getting 22 or more points against ACC competition, like Donnie did six different times this year. Really think it’s kinda funny how so many guys here are totally down on Freeman, while programs like Kentucky and Duke are interested. Don’t know whether guys here arejust butt hurt, or if they actually think theyare better at player evaluation than scouts for top 10 programs.

Unfortunately the list of players you mentioned wouldn’t form the heart of an NCAAT team. Not even sure they’d be an ACCT team. All, except maybe Doty, role players at best.

Cool. Tell me about our records. We won ONE more game this year with Freeman than we did the years before. That's all I'm saying.

It's a math equation.

not for anything but those top 10 programs have misses too. Im not saying Freeman is one of those but its not unheard of for top schools to go hard for a player and then they flop. As for why people are okay with him leaving? We have a losing culture right now at SU and sometimes its best to cut the cord with players who have become too comfortable losing.

A couple of questions:
1. Are you considering Freeman a flop?
2. How do you determine which players are comfortable with losing and which ones aren't?

And how many would we have won without our leading scorer and rebounder?
