Petar Majstorovic in the portal from Long Beach St

And how many would we have won without our leading scorer and rebounder?
You can see what our record was without him. He was injured so you can easily see. The only quality win we had last year was Tennessee and he was out.

Petar can pass, set picks and move without the ball. Those abilities would pair nicely with what Morano, Doty and Moesch do. Euro ball offense stuff.

Folefac can play defense and provide toughness. Looks like he is smart and a good athlete and will improve offensively. Do we have playing time and money for both?

Probably not if we retain White or sign a stretch 4 who can score (hopefully good outside shooter).

Lots of tough decisions to be made….
I wouldn't worry about playing time considerations for this group. We're building a team from scratch and need bodies. All the above (besides Morano, who might be starter caliber) would be coming to SU to play for Gerry or for personal reasons. So avoid potential bidding wars or overpaying for depth whenever possible, and sign players for those roles that want to be here when they're available. All the above clear the minimum talent threshold, have them compete and build that culture. Maybe a player like Folefac sticks around for a couple years to develop, maybe not. But that's a problem for another offseason.

A couple of questions:
1. Are you considering Freeman a flop?
2. How do you determine which players are comfortable with losing and which ones aren't?
I have no idea if he is a flop, but just becuase duke or kentucky are targeting doesnt make him a sure thing.

I think everyone on the team the last 2 years seemed plenty happy to coast on a losing team. I judge that by the lack of fire the team showed in game and how quickly they seemed to quit defensively when the going got tough.

why do so many people think anyone we might be involved with is someone gmac plans to start and we need to do better? I'm sure gmac sees some guys as potential starters, some as rotation pieces, and some as bench depth. maybe even 1-2 as developmental. the sky isn't falling if we hear about a recruit that isn't stud or potential starter in our eyes.

For the record, I agree. Build the strongest team you can each year and if a couple players get mad and leave, so be it.

Stability, 4 year players, these kinds of things are gone forever.
