I think our coach has taken advantage of talented players we have brought in. And as a Alumn and diehard fan I'm greatful. On the other hand we HAVE struggled with alot of prospects and developing them. I guess thats why they are projects in the 1st place. Having said that Stewart makes us a Final four type team with the scoring and more import shooters we could put around him. The other bigs can step in and provide the same type production as Chuckwu so we wouldnt see a dropoff. BUT we need to get one of them

No need to be in your feelings. Yes i pointed out our failures so what? Again the point was we need SOLID players to close out Boeheim's career. Not profects. If you cant comprehend that just sit back and expect every single game

Comparing Akok to Joseph and Chino is insane. AA is a 4/5 star talent who is far more highly regarded than the other two when they were recruited.
The staff is more than able to recruit all 4 of these guys at the same time. No reason not to keep pursuing all of them if there is any glimmer of hope.

Kaleb Joseph was actually higher rated than Jalen Carey. Having watched them both play in high school Jalen looks like a much much much better player. My simple point and example is that "some" Syracuse coaches thought the "bookworm assassin" would be the next Sherman Douglas. We know how it worked out. I wouldn't be surprised if Akok Akok is a bust who just so happens to be the 4th option on a loaded PSA team. Of course if he comes to Syracuse i will pray im wrong. Simply giving analysis based on what i saw. No big deal. Sorry if i offended anyone smh.

Perhaps saying he is a project is overstating. Here is what im saying. Akok Akok IMO wont be as good as Brissett in his 1st year. So thats a dropoff. We should be all in on Stewart as he would be a game changer in the post for us kinda like Rock his senior season. Alternatively we also need a true big. Not another 6-10 185lb guy

Stewart was one of the top 3 or 4 players in all the country and on the USA Olympic team. Akok Akok is the 4th best player on his high school basketball team. It doesn't mean Akok wont be a NBA player or that Stewart will. My simple point is the probability is a lot higher for Stewart. We have 3 really good guards or wings who can slash or shoot ghe lights out. We dont have a proven big in this class.

lol I'm not arguing with you. I want them both. The Hall of fame coach likes Akok a lot. That is good enough for me. It's not good enough for you. That is where the conversation ends.

Lets say we get them both and Stewart is one and done. We still have a need for a big... DONT WE? Lol. For the record i would take them both as well. Im just saying i would like Kofi or Carrigan (if his grades are cool) or Qadus. Those guys can play the 5 in our zone day 1
 
Akok Akok is perimeter oriented and we already have two wings who can really shoot in Quincey and Hughes. We also already have a 6-10 185lb stretch 4 who shoots 3 in Braswell lol. We dont have a 220lb or 250lb guy to play Center or score in the paint.
 
Is akok really considered the 4th best player on his prep team? For some reason I think that's way off.
 
Thats based on last year and obviously Cole and transferred out. So this year he will be a top 3 option. I believe his season starts Thursday. Cant wait to study him and his improvement. I was really looking forward to him going head to head with Quincy when PSA plays Thetford in Feb. But i guess Quincy will be on Syracuse sidelines already

Based upon a YouTube video I saw, I am not sure Stewart can play in the ACC.

Syracuse plays UCONN 11/15 - in 9 days - gotta think that game could have at least a small impact on AA's decision.
 
Definitely been quiet on the AA front since returning from their tournament...thought there would be a lot more buzz about his decision when they returned home...I actually think that's a good thing for us. Boneryard guys are probably starting to sweat this one out.
 
Yeah if it was a “lock” 3 weeks ago what’s the hold up? We know his people are pushing UConn but it certainly seems like Akok himself isn’t as sold on UConn
