I think Folefac will have a substantial role here - Sadiq fouling replacement. Spot duty at the 5 if need be and when closing out games. Think he has potential as a passer. Not an All-League guy but solid player.

If we added Williams and another lead guard then I can get on board with this. I’m a bit nervous if we get this commitment before the other two slots.

Center for sure, Folefac (assuming this ends well) I think wraps up the 4. The guard situation is the big ? I can't answer that, not sure anyone can.

Agreed, I think a center and Folefac wraps up the front court. IMO I think we should get a high level guard, but like you said no one seems to know what they’re gonna do there.

Everything is so interdependent too. I think the thought with Wilkins is you make a play there and if it happens you downgrade your center budget. We don't get him so now we're back up to having budget for the 4/5 and it just depends on who's available and who the staff thinks will have an ROI with those dollars.

I keep thinking about this like it's a fantasy auction/salary cap league. Positional allocations change as you acquire (or miss) on guys. It's so dynamic.

My understanding is that we were going to close the deal and land him right before UK came back and nabbed him. Bnoro had the intel on it.

Dual would need to be ready to go as P1 and some combo of Tobiason/Anthony/Moesch would need to be ready for competent minutes as a lead ball hander.

That's a gamble.

I hear you about the gamble part.

I like Dual as a PG. It looks like Moesch is going to get an opportunity to earn back up minutes at PG. My concerns with him are about physical traits. He is talented.

At the end of the day, I could see the staff thinking that $$$ left is best spent on adding bigs to what they already have.

Probably trying to finalize money with some other guys before they try to snag him. He’s very much a luxury right now.

As of right now, there is no backup for White who fouls a lot. I guess they can put in some of the 2s or 3s but then they lose a lot that Folefac would provide. Not sure I would consider him a luxury. They need another real 4.

Agree but it’s always a possibility that what I previously said could happen.

Luke is a 5. That's all he has ever played. Going into the season with only 4 players that play the 4/5 would be poor planning. Especially one coming off injuries, one unknown coming from overseas, and one prone to fouls. One injury and they are severely shorthanded. Just look at what GMac had to do against Duke with only 5 playable players. It's hardly a luxury.
