Class of 2025 PF Francis Folefac (MD) Portal from Siena

You aren’t going to find a multi talented sophomore bully ball 4 man like Folefac for a reasonable price. There aren’t many out there besides Carey from Tenn. Too many people are focused on where he played vs what value he can offer. I’m still sold on a roster that runs

Wilkens or Wilkinson/Dual/Moesch
MMM/Anthony/Dual/
Doty/Anthony/Dual
Sadiq/Folefac/Petar
Portal 5 tbd/Goodrick/Folefac

Maybe Gilhool, small school shot blocker etc to fill out roster. Folefac might be fewer minutes this year but sets up for a big junior year opportunity.
 
The thing about Folefac is he is a really good defender.
He and Doty were normally given the toughest defensive assignments.
Folefac guarded MAAC player of the year Kennedy in the MAAC final and he is a 6’2 guard. He more than held his own.

A very versatile piece to have, our own version of a Swiss Army knife.
 
There are a total of 3 other players per google gemini that fit the similar profile as a bully ball versatile pf along with FF: Jaylen Carey, Brandon Walker (UT Arlington) and Murauskas (St Mary’s and one of top players in portal).

There are stronger guards and your traditional beasts like Hines but as for guys that can do multiple things at this size and strength it’s a very small pool of players.

You choose a player who was mentally ’d lol. We have a legendary shooter as a coach I’m sure he can help these players get better
 
I was hoping for Folefac to come to Syracuse. Maybe it will still happen.

I love how some of the “experts” suggest that he would not start at Syracuse or would be just a bench depth piece. Guess that the P5 schools interested in him are not looking at him that way.

Well, Siena was 330th in 3 pt % at 30.62, so I guess he didn’t help them that much. Just for comparison SU was 246th at 32.86 %.

I like Folefac game. Excellent passer. Good FT and shooting form. Good position D. I think he and Sadiq would be a good 4.

Yep, I feel pretty confident that if he comes here, he will absolutely someone we want on the floor as much as possible.
