Class of 2025 PF Francis Folefac (MD) Portal from Siena

LOL. We just had this this past year.
That’s prolly how tall Will Kyle is IRL.

Otis Hill was listed at 6’8”, which means he was prolly closer to 6’6”.

There’s no way Folefac should start at the 5.
That said, he’s bulky, agile, and long enough to play some backup minutes there, along w the 4.
Otis Hill took a long time to develop. As a senior he had unstoppable footwork. In the big dance he clearly outplayed a future NBA center.

Not to mention Jyare Davis played that exact role last year when mccloud was hurt. He was maybe 6’6” and 25 lbs lighter than Folefac. ( And I doubt Kyle was even 6’8”)

A power forward with real size that can guard a PG or small center seems like a guy you want. Add in Whites propensity to foul and to me this seems like a position of need and a no brainer. For some reason I think some here are way over valuing White. To me he has just as much to prove as Folefac and the guy who got him 1/2 his points on alley oops is gone.

I don’t want a 6’7” guy playing center. I don’t care how beefy he is. The shortest I can recall SU going at center during my Cuse fandom was Andre Hawkins at 6’8”. That was over 40 years ago. Back up PF, fine.
I'm not saying it's ideal but we've seen enough 7'0 205lb centers average 1.8 rebs that maybe height isn't the key indicator here. Seems this board is looking for elite NBA measurables and Cuse won't win bidding wars for 7'0 250 guys that average 15 and 8. I'd rather have Charles Barkley than Taco Falls clearing the boards. I'd rather Ben Wallace than Shawn Bradley protecting the rim. Guys we most covet with NBA sizewill always get more money and go elsewhere. Luckily in college hoops you don't need that to be a perennial 20+ win tourney team.

Solid MAAC player. Does he profile as more than that at the high-major level? No one can say.
Obviously SU isn’t alone in thinking that he’s capable and worthy of competing at a higher level.

I mean, we saw him body up the player of the year in the NCAA tournament. He’s a great defender. It’s what Syracuse needs. He can guard 1-5 and do it almost flawlessly at that.
This team is extremely defense heavy if we get Wilson. Need scorers.

Sure but look at the peers recruiting him. Rutgers and Georgia Tech.
