Fair enough. Just more that I have never thought of the MAAC as a mid-major conference. This isn’t a comment on the player, just always considered that conference low-major.Top of the conference is consistently within the top 200 in Ken Pom out of 350 plus teams. That’s right in the middle of the country.
They did not give up. They were unable to catch up.Good assessment. I'm looking forward to a team that fights for 40 minutes. It's much easier to root for a team that doesn't give up when things become difficult.
This board has gone off the deep end.
Wrong lots of minutes important piece. I’ll let the practices and the coaches decide who plays when and how long.Definitely plays hard from the limited games I saw. Emphasis on limited. And he’s strong. Problem I have is what position will he play? Seems like he’s exclusively a 4 man. I anticipate him struggling against longer players inside.
15’ guy off the bench though, fine with it.
Time will tell. Its all up Gerry now fellas...we are in better shape than we were for the last 3 years...and you can take that to the bank
Under 1000 followers. I'm sure this is a high level scout.NBA radar. That can’t be. (Some of) our message board gurus have deemed him unworthy of the ACC
No one called him a bum, we're just not calling him the second coming of Norchad Omier like some of you all here. He'll be a nice depth piece here. For not saying Folefac is a Siena bum who shouldn’t play here? Sharing articles someone wrote that are over the top is merely only saying he impressed some folks that saw him play. He’s front court depth with a physical frame and potential. The rest is just the internet…
Talk to me about Folefac...this is the first time ive heard of him. What position does he play?
Well yeah. That’s what coaches do. Also doesn’t always make it right.Wrong lots of minutes important piece. I’ll let the practices and the coaches decide who plays when and how long.
For being optimistic that things are heading into a direction of positive progress? I don’t expect a program major leap in year 1, improvement of overall recording and conferences positioning, yes, if a major leap happens, great! I’m looking at, are moves being made to build the foundation to this program to build a successful program that will really take off in the 2nd or 3rd year and the answer to that in a month in is a yes. This board has gone off the deep end.
I was thinking we might have to run this thread back next year if he overperforms.Really looking forward to tomorrow when he commits again.
Adding Folefac with White and Wilson makes for an intense trio, especially on the defensive end. And it is great to have some guys with muscle for a change. Folefac without White and Wilson would concern me, if that makes any sense. Their relative strengths and weaknesses might balance each other out well.
He’s getting $700k+Give this kid and Doty a lot of credit. Easily could’ve chased bags elsewhere… I’ll leave it at that.
Thank you.I very much appreciate your positive attitude and very importantly the fact that you don't seem to take offense to individuals who think your take is funny. I hope they eat their words and reevaluate their entire disposition. My gosh that last part was me actually trying to stay positive. In any event I appreciate your outlook. I also think if the kids fully buy in we are going to surprise some people and Folefac Is going to push SW only for good and I totally love that. Mainly because he is so physical. I hope KA, Keeps the faith and keeps working and has fun with his brothers. I hope he reads this as well. Blessing
He put up 2 points and 3 rebounds in 18 minutes against Vermont, while we're looking at small sample sizes.Maybe I'm being Captain Obvious, but let's not lose sight of the fact that in the NCAA tourney game against Duke, Folefac put up 18 pts, 7 boards, 2 assists and only one turnover, while playing every second of the game. Dude can play against anyone. This is a VERY solid get for SU. Anyone questioning his ability to play at this level needs to (I'll put it politely) re-think their opinion. Carry on.
I agree. Similar numbers against Indiana. I think he’s going to be important and unless Sadiq was promised a starting role to get him to re-up, I expect FF to challenge for it. FF can do things in the half court offense that Sadiq can’t. He was strong as bull as a frosh. He may be just as likely to make a jump as Sadiq.Maybe I'm being Captain Obvious, but let's not lose sight of the fact that in the NCAA tourney game against Duke, Folefac put up 18 pts, 7 boards, 2 assists and only one turnover, while playing every second of the game.
