PFF Grades / Snap Counts | UConn

The OL isn't good at pass protection. You see at times he is going through his reads, which cannot happen with this OL. He needs to do a better job pre snap or moving to his outlet instead of looking at #2 option. Not ideal but given our pass protection you have no choice.
He is way too slow on his reads

I don’t know the extent of his injury but I can’t wait until Jalil Martin is back. That man was a terror during the bowl game.

If he is lining up a nickel and then it may solidify some of the run defense as he sticks his nose into everything.
He was dressed Saturday

I agree. They need to have a better plan here. Re-watching the game will tell us if the 2nd read or check down is the answer. Live its hard to see where the checkdown is.
I watched the whole condensed game in slow motion yesterday. As you said in another post, there are often two or more go routes. Or 15+ yard routes. When under duress it’s hard to scan one side of the field 15+ yards to that side of the field, and then the switch your vision all the way to the other side of the field. It’s not always the case, but often times we do not have a check down directly in front of the quarterback, which is the easiest read.

If you watched a condensed game in slow motion, does it still take over 3 hours?
