PFF Grades vs Tennessee

I certainly don't think we "torched" them. We beat them occasionally and considering how little time Angeli had that wasn't bad. But that is because we have pretty good WR's. I think Tennesee's Corners were solid. Then again i haven't watched the second half on a rewatch yet.

I was more impressed with Russell than I thought I'd be.. Glad he is in the mix. Can't wait for Boobie to get healthy. Hope he can make it back by Duke.
Angeli had a few throws I think he'd like back too. There was one that should have been a touchdown on a slant where he threw it behind ther eceiver slightly.

Yea I think that one was the second level throw with a lot going on underneath. Not a gimme throw but he would like that one again. Cook came in motion right to left and then hit a slant over the middle behind the LB's and Angeli was a tad behind him which let the CB break it up.

We'll see if this is allowed or not, lol.

Remarkable: Of these 32 players w 20+ snaps against Tennessee, only 4 were signed/recruited by Fran via the HS ranks: Kerr, Samuel, Willis, Deslauriers. I acknowledge that this is a new NIL/Portal era (as would Fran), but it is “easy” to see how the core of the team will improve in the coming 2-4 years. It will most likely and predominantly happen via player development, which is almost always best from players who put in the work and build the expertise in “our” system. That is how the program will grow/improve/win.

Watched the game at a bar. The OL didn’t sub at all?
No ur right and when they were in 3rd downs the lineninsteadof making a wall and helping double with a hand they completely turned and left blitzing gaps which allowed the sacks to happenor hurries. Collins was in a spot and 3 shade was blocked bye cruz and all of a sudden collins turns to help cruz and boom sack right thru the spot he left. looked like they fixed it later though in 4 th or they werent blitzing as much

I'm surprised more people haven't discussed how many times the CB (I think it was Hood) pulled on JRS's jersey during coverage. I think he should have been called three times.
JRS has to sell it better though. He seemed to give up on the play a bit too much.
