PFF Ranks SU Draft Prospects

We only have three in their Top 250 rankings, out today. No early-round selections so far. Here's what we've got:

186. Alijah Clark-Safety

180. Kyle McCord-QB

135. Oronde Gadsden-TE.

I really think that McCord will outperform his draft ranking. Accuracy is at a premium in the pros.

I can see Oronde being a day two pick (sneaking in the top three rounds). He's got NFL size, controls his frame really well, great hands, and will do well at the combine/in interviews. If he lasts beyond the top three rounds I think someone is getting a steal.

Kyle at 180 is solidly in the mid-rounds, which is where I've heard he will likely go. I think anywhere from 3-6 is the guess, and honestly, all it takes is one GM falling in love with him.

Cinco is an interesting one -- he's got NFL size vs. some of our other defensive guys. I can see Fadil being a late round draft or UDFA. Barron is probably UDFA too along with a few others.

The move Oronde put on the UConn corner on SU's first TD Saturday was big time. He ran 20 yards in a flash and changed directions on a dime. The DB never had a chance. It'll translate to the League.

OG isn't a burner and isn't big enough to play close to the line in the NFL, but he's tall and a skilled ball catcher. He might not go high because his measurables aren't eye-popping, but there's a lot to work with there.

I’m so curious how NFL clubs will view him. Right now he’s sized up to be a mismatch on college Lbs and safeties. Is he fast enough at this size to do that in the pros? Do that want him to drop some weight, get down to 220 and get some speed back to play WR? Do they want him to bulk up to 245-250 to play in line as a TE?

The right franchise with the right plan gets their hands on him, and he’s going to be a star.

He has made major strides with his pass and run blocking, which will help his standing a lot.

Hasn't had the monster season I was hoping for but it has been a solid one.

OG suffers from a first world problem of having a competent receiver corp. With McCord and a bevy of receivers, no one is "standing" out from the pack. All it takes is one team knowing OG's value (see 2022) and they will know they are getting someone special.
