Rutgers?
Interesting development...
That would be a solid hour commute for either one unless he stayed in Albany. It's doable but not necessarily practical. Good thinking. Academy would be a great all around option. He should consider doing a year or two at Albany Academy. Pretty sure they have back the Jackson brothers and Mahoney. They play a difficult, albeit somewhat limited schedule. Last year they played most of the best schools in Section II (not great but ok comp), Iona Prep, Bishop O'Connell (DC area), Ludden, Montverde, Spartanburg Day, Lone Peak, the NYISs like Collegiate, Fieldston, Lawrence Woodmere, LILu, and then the almost always make the Fed tourney. I think it would be good for Gerard as well, but he is a sacred cow in GF.
Four years at a boarding school seems like a lot for a kid with his background..
Yeah I’be been following it for the last feed days but was just gonna wait to post about it when you chose his school. Kinda a weird situation. He has left IMG and said he will play high school basketball at a public school in the 845 area code. There is a story in the Daily Freeman of Kingston.
It is asking a lot to send a kid so far from home as a ninth grader. Not surprised it didn't work out.Oh by the way everyone, he’s back at Saugerties.
First thing I said when I saw it.It is asking a lot to send a kid so far from home as a ninth grader. Not surprised it didn't work out.
