Class of 2026 PG Dylan Mingo (NY / LuHi) Offered

Honestly though, time might be spent better elsewhere. Hes going to be well outside of our price range considering you have Louisville and Bama in the mix. Maybe relationships win out though, who knows.
I don't think we would have offered at this point if we didn't think we had a good chance to land him.

I think we have better options to consider at point guard. I like Rippley, Jones and Miles more than Mingo. Since we already offered the other three, I would think the staff feels the same way.

Coach B is in attendance for the Top 100 Camp to see Mingo and many others…

He needs to work on his shot mechanics. Looks like JJ a bit. Can do everything else pretty well.

We would obviously be VERY lucky to land both, but what do you guys think about a Mingo/Jordan Smith Jr. backcourt? The optimist in me thinks there would be enough shooting, the conservative side thinks that it would be similar to the Judah/JJ backcourt, except a bit better. Jordan Smith is a beast, he wouldn't be falling after contact, he would be initiating and finishing.

Defensively, Mingo and Smitty would lock other backcourts up.

My guess is if we get an elite prospect it will be one of Mingo or Smith, not both.

And based on past history if we have to ask if there's enough shooting there always has been NOT enough shooting. I don't care what the guys are ranked.

He has been playing on Team Thomas in the NBPA Top 100 Camp this week…

“Mingo is now up to No. 7 in the country and may just keep rising if he can sustain the same level we saw in the first two EYBL sessions and the NBPA Top 100 Camp.”

Manage to have a big bounce back year this year and pair Mingo with a senior George or Kiyan and Fennell… most back to back years of backcourt talent in a long while.
