Yeah that is ridiculous. He has flaws and isn’t perfect but would be the best PG we had in a long time. I suspect he will do very well at Michigan.

That's very true, I'm just shocked it is you espousing it
The frustration with guys like JJ who have the fundamentals to be good defenders (athletic, have good lateral movement and quickness) is the lack of effort and practice/training in that area to get better. Buddy is a good example of a flat footed guy who compensates on defense just by keeping his hands up, angling and figuring out when to go under or over screens. Too many basketball players focus too much on offense and wonder why they can’t make the NBA.

Yes. That guy. He was bad defensively due to lack of quickness, athleticism and all the gifts that help to be a good defender, but he made an effort and although fruitless at times, you could see the effort.
