Surprisedly, I agree with you. If it came down that we were to take a second year guard and the choice was between Cadeau and Bethea, I would take Bethea.

Let Cadeau run off to another team because even we need a point guard, we do not want him.

I think his passing vision is very ahead of the curve relative to most sophomores and at least when I watched, it seemed like he had good touch around the rim. The lack of shooting is an absolute non-starter with our roster though. He's a guy that absolutely must have shooting around him to have any chance of building a great team (and even then, his weaknesses may not allow for that kind of ceiling).

He plays hard and is tougher than Bethea. Cadeau is a great passer with excellent vision. He will occasionally score from three, but teams almost dare him to shoot. Not a horrible shooter, but he’s not a good fit for what we have or need. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. I think Jackson will declare for draft or portal.

Feels like an instance where too much stock gets put into the previous relationship and "pedigree." We need shooters, don't think he's the right fit.

Averaged 6.2 assists per game and is a good ball handler. Had 12 assists against SDSU in their play in game. He's not going to light it up points wise, but he was a more efficient scorer than Starling with double the assists in 25% less minutes.

Cadeau is a true PG. We need that. Bethea is yet another combo guard with 1.2 APG and a 36% FG%. No thanks.

I would take Cadeau in a second if he was surrounded by shooters and a strong post presence. He has excellent passing skills and would shine if he played with great multidimensional scorers. We don't have any of that, so hard pass.

Ehh, he went to Michigan, not Western Michigan. If he was bad he'd drop a level. I wouldn't be surprised if he is making more at Michigan than UNC

2:1 A/T isnt too bad. Probably needs to improve from the ft line. Is he a world beater? No. But he definitely isnt a bad player by any definition.

Can’t shoot and can’t play defense. There were a lot of Cuse fans pining for him in the backcourt with JJ which I think would have been a disaster. That’s why I’m happy he’s at Michigan. Doesn’t even give the staff enough time to make a bad decision.

Comparing Cadeau to JJ defensively is pretty crazy. their defensive efficiency is like 10 points apart. Im not saying that to defend him but just to point out that no one is as bad as JJ is. Even buddy was a better defender than JJ.
