Once you factor in the transaction fees and conversion rates on the Euro, it all tracks. It does not appear that they are spending much of that so far.

You're missing the point. What sold some (including myself) on Gerry was how we were told repeatedly that he will bring a lot of NIL with him. That was a giant point made to justify his hiring. If he doesn't end up with a more talented roster than what Red could do, many of us will be very disappointed (and misled).I am sure he could get these kinds of guys on his team.
What does that matter when you can’t coach?

It will come down to if he gets us to win in the court. You're missing the point. What sold some (including myself) on Gerry was how we were told repeatedly that he will bring a lot of NIL with him. Again give it time. We have 6 players!Yep. And so far, I'm not seeing much money being spent.
you weren't misled. gmac did bring a lot of nil. probably twice as much as we had last year. but he was also given 0 hs recuits. in general they are cheaper than portal kids. long ways to go still but we're doing fine as of right now we have the 8th rated portal class. but still we dont have lville money where we can spend $9m on 2 kids. You're missing the point. depending on kiyan, i wouldn't be surprised if we spent close to half.Yep. And so far, I'm not seeing much money being spent.
Still early in one of the other threads it was mentioned that only 5 of the top 50 committed and 50 of the 1,000Yep. And so far, I'm not seeing much money being spent.
You think we’ve spent half already?depending on kiyan, i wouldn't be surprised if we spent close to half.
You really should stop saying NIL money and just use the full amount the school is spending like everyone else does. It’s confusing, somewhat misleading if you don’t understand and just doesn’t make sense to phrase like you do.you weren't misled. gmac did bring a lot of nil. probably twice as much as we had last year. but he was also given 0 hs recuits. in general they are cheaper than portal kids. long ways to go still but we're doing fine as of right now we have the 8th rated portal class. but still we dont have lville money where we can spend $9m on 2 kids.
There’s no way McNeese PG, Sadiq, Doty, Kiyan & the center from Siena is half our roster spend. That’s just silly.depending on kiyan, i wouldn't be surprised if we spent close to half.
i used nil because the poster i responded to was talking nil because of gmac. rev share would be the same. gmac wasnt bringing more rev share. pretty simple. You really should stop saying NIL money and just use the full amount the school is spending like everyone else does. We are not doubling what we spent last year. If that’s the case ($14-16M) we should be spending a lot more.
Yes but people conflate NIL with total number spent. So do coaches. Everyone says “NIL” to indicate how much they’re spending on players. Nobody says “gotta get that rev share up!”i used nil because the poster i responded to was talking nil because of gmac. rev share would be the same. gmac wasnt bringing more rev share. pretty simple.
Maybe or maybe not. The way things are trending, I'd say it's more likely that we end up with a roster no more talented than the last three years. My usual cuse optimism is being challenged more recently than ever before.you weren't misled. gmac did bring a lot of nil. probably twice as much as we had last year. but he was also given 0 hs recuits. in general they are cheaper than portal kids. long ways to go still but we're doing fine as of right now we have the 8th rated portal class. but still we dont have lville money where we can spend $9m on 2 kids.
i understand it. ive beat that drum forever. but the question was specific to gmac bringing more nil specifically. not rev share.Yes but people conflate NIL with total number spent. So do coaches. It’s hard to be positive but Gmac will need to prove he can win which ref couldn’t do.Maybe or maybe not. Again, you understand it. But people asking about “NIL” 9 times out of 10 are asking about the total amount we spend. They don’t think of nor will they ever connect the fact that there are two different buckets. That’s the point I’m trying to make. Just use the term like every other person who discussed it. It’s total amount spent. Nobody else splits the two up everi understand it. ive beat that drum forever. but the question was specific to gmac bringing more nil specifically. not rev share.
you're missing MMMThere’s no way McNeese PG, Sadiq, Doty, Kiyan & the center from Siena is half our roster spend. That’s just silly.
EDIT: And if it is, we are going to stink again.

The center from Siena got no more than 300k. He’s a back up to more than likely three different players. We are more than likely in the 3.5 million range spent.you're missing MMM
I have no idea but if we assume Dual, Sadiq, Doty and MMM each get 700K, there's 3M. let's round up to 3.5M, plus center from Siena and Kiyan gets it to 4.5M... that's nearly half, as we've heard the total is somewhere around 10-12. bring on a starting center gets it to 7.5M, then not a ton is left for remaining pieces e.g. some combo of- Tobiason, another big, Folefac, another PG
Yes forgot the foreign kid. With him added I could see close to half. We have half our roster basically.you're missing MMM

again, the poster was talking about how much more nil gmac would bring.Again, you understand it. But people asking about “NIL” 9 times out of 10 are asking about the total amount we spend. Sadiq
Kiyan
McNeese PG
Doty
Siena C
Foreign Wing
That’s 6 of probably 13.
And again, the poster is asking about total amount spent! He said NIL - which 99% of the time people use that term to mean the total amount spent. What is so confusing about this?again, the poster was talking about how much more nil gmac would bring.
Nothing over 4. If it is they’re mistook Dual’s value.Based on what others have shared may be only 4.5 to 5 actually as well…if not closer to 4.
