Class of 2025 PG Keyshuan Tillery (Albany/ NH) Portal from Cinci

Now this is a kid SU could use. He should have been starting from day 1 at UC but Wes Miller loved his 5th year transfers and 5th year former juco players too much. Tillery forced his way into the lineup and the team was much better down the stretch particularly when Tillery took over the PG and Jizzle James and Day Day Thomas played off the ball.

Was hoping you would chime in given your insight into cincy. How is he as a defender?

He can play D. If I had to pick a playing style I'd say somewhere between Cadeau and Jonny Flynn. He's that build with that quickness, and can knock down the open jumper. Not sure if he'll develop like them but its just a matter of opportunity and producing in my opinion.

He played in the same league as Moesch.
Supposedly they played against each other and Moesch outplayed him.
I don’t know the underlying details though.
Tillery was regarded as one of the stars of that league,

Some tape here. This one could be an interesting angle to play. Might be a lot to work with despite the stats. Cincy played a brutal schedule so competition level wouldn’t be an issue…

Thanks! Can you provide a quick scouting report [how good is his handle? His facilitation / playmaking? His ability to get to the basket?]

He's kind of tough to do a scouting report on because he spent the year as the 3rd guard and was used primarily as a ball handler, defender and spot up shooter for a kickout. The offense never really ran through him because he was always paired with one of Day Day Thomas, Kerr Kriisa or Jizzle James and those are all 3 "ball dominant" guards the offense flowed through. While Tillery wasn't necessarily a game changer when he came in, the energy always picked up. He's 6'0" - 6'1" built like a running back, quick feet, good on the ball and help defender that can hit the open jumper. I wouldn't say getting to the basket is something he has shown, he's more of pullup/floater guy. He got 13 minutes per game on a team with 6 other guards including the returning backcourt, grad transfers from Baylor, WVU and Kentucky and a McD AA. He very easily could have never seen the court but added defense and intensity at a minimum when he did.
