This would be a really good get. George is a stud and can do a little of everything well. A starting line up of

PG: George
SG: Starling
SF: Kingz
PF: Freeman
C: defensive stud in the portal

Give us a lot of versatile scoring in the starting 5. Honestly that’s are strongest starting 5 in awhile if we can pull that out.

Then you have guys like Sadiq, Anthony, Kyle, Fennell off the bench.

Honestly that team would beat last years team by 20 points. Reallllllllly need Autry to take a step up in coaching. Cannot let a roster like that go to waste

This is an important get. I still think we need a SF who can hit the 3, and a backup center. I would still take Petar and Cuffe back, if they can't find better landing spots.

I'm not a huge fan of George he doesn't do anything particularly well. I understand you guys are obsessed with him because he led the conference in assists but I just don't think he's very good. I think Kingz was a great signing, Kyle should be good but I will be disappointed if George is the guard

Well, too late. He's the guy. At least he has size, he does rebound, and more than 6 assists a game in the ACC for a not-great team is actually pretty good.

Huh? The two have nothing to do with each other. KINGZ is a 3. For us anyway.

He can play some SG also, when JJ moves to PG.

Didn’t know if this was posted. Looks like he’ll be encouraging his teammates to run in transition, nice decision making in pick n roll plays, lobs, tear drops etc. Kid is a textbook pg and did it all in the ACC too,

Kid throws a nice alley oop.

All I can say is

Regardless of what I think about George the player, it is nice to see that Red is able to close a high-priority target and get him to come to Syracuse. That is a big change from last year. So that is a massive step in the right direction. Starting Center and another 6th man type wing type player and we are good to go.
In reality the first real point guard since Ennis, and that will make a difference.

He needs a private shooting coach since we don’t have McNamara around. Either Cuse pays for that or JJ invests in himself with some of his NIL Money.
Jjs percentages suffered because he was the only guy on the team who could create offense. He had the same ugly looking form with gmac coaching him as a sophomore. His shot was just more likely to be open when we had guys like Mintz Q and Maliq on the team. Gmac has nothing to do with it.

Wow, now we got the bones of something good going on here.

Three solid gets from the portal, our two top players coming back, and a very talented frosh class.

Still need another stud big.

The possibly biggest key that nobody is talking about will be whether or not Donnie returns at 100% and can make a jump from a really nice frosh to a true ACC caliber star with next level potential.

We will also need at least two of the frosh to be precocious and to be solid rotation players.

Red now has some solid pieces. I thought many on this forum were too hard on him. Next year will be the real test to see if he can be a good coach.
we 100% were not too hard on him. all of it was well warranted.
