This is not the greatest news for all of you that are predicting him to come here. I still will hold out hope, but I would have much rather had him sign on the 16th. Hopefully the staff will close the deal in the late stages.

I was wondering about that scenario. He faxes his letter on the 16th, but asks SU to keep it quiet so that he can make a splash at his high school.

Some of you people really need to relax, holy crap...thought it was bad on the football side with people already freaking out that we could lose HCDB and should extend him 8 games into his first year...now hoops fans are paranoid about a recruit we are clamoring for might not stick if he commits...just wow...guys we are EFIN Syracuse...we need to have a mindset of getting the win and the prom queen!!! On the basketball side, who was the last kid that we lost that had given us a verbal? I don't count kids that took themselves out of the running because they didn't qualify, etc. because signing an LOI wouldn't change that result.

None that I can recall going back to 2000. Once a kid verbally, the recruitment in general is over. It's not football.
