has changed his projections this morning. Has us in Dallas versus North Texas. Pitt in Detroit versus N. ILL. BC in Shreveport. This projection takes into account all secondary agreements. I think this is what will happen. He initially had us in Beef and Wazzu in Dallas but Wazzu moved into Texas Bowl once N.ILL lost last night and put Baylor in BCS which freed up Big 12 spot in Texas Bowl. All BCS level schools are in with Oregon State in Shreveport.

This makes sense.

This makes an awful lot of sense. I still think BC and GT could switch Music City and Independence. I would guess BC would prefer Nashville.

I think northern Illinois will be placed in whatever bowl they feel has best team as opponent which I have as poinsettia bowl vs boise

You think?
OK. So I have a little bias... I am really excited about the chance to play in Big D. When the wife and kids chimed in that they are interested I was even more excited. Evidence that I raised my girls right, Orange fans!

N. Illinois must go to whatever bowl selects them based on MAC bowl contracts. They have little choice unless they get passed over by all MAC-affiliated bowls (which won't happen)

the bowls usually work with the conference though and northern Illinois already traveled to pizza bowl site for mac championship I think ball state or buffalo end up in pizza town

seems likely that bowling green goes to go daddy bowl, ball state to potato, buffalo to pizza with northern Illinois to sd makes the most sense

I'm just having trouble seeing how a bowl would willingly negotiate out of having a ranked, geographically close team in their bowl versus sending them across the country to a bowl that will be lightly attended by NIU fans..but, at the end of the day, it's all about the bowl's preference and weirder things have happened. Either way, NIU's loss helped 'cuse and it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Makes total sense and I don't think we need any help from the AAC anymore. If both Buttgers and SMU win, and so far SMU is winning, the MAC will lose the Beef Bowl. There will still be four at large slots that don't have MAC secondary agreements . So it is possible that Bowling Green screwed their conference out of not just BCS money but that extra bid to the Beef.
