With NIL and the Portal in place, it is critical to have assistant coaches that are good recruiters. However, if good players are recruited and the assistant coaches are not great at helping them grow in skills such as shooting, passing, rebounding, or playing DEFENSE, what are the chances for success? Which type of assistant coach is best?

need to supplement the HC and his strengths and weaknesses

autry needs hep with x's and o's and in game management

and needs hlep with player evaluations as well

hes very good at recruiting and giving press conferences etc

We're allowed 3 full assistants and 2 more non-recruiting assistants, so the right thing to do is have a mixture of great recruiters, great X and Os guys, and great skill developers. And a director of operations who can fundraise.

What we really have to think about in this new era of college basketball is whether High School recruiting is an important factor anymore. Investing in high school players might be a sign of the times.

I think fundraising, selling the program, and X's and O's are more important now. Having offensive and defensive systems in place and identifying talent in the portal that fits that system is more important than high school recruiting now a days I think.

which assistant on the current staff is responsible for scouting the opposition and identifying strengths and weaknesses to develop our game plan. just curious. cuz...
