Pics of Dome Upgrades

I love the upgrades being made to the dome and can't wait to see them in action. Hopefully we see the day when SU can afford to replace those aluminum benches with individual seats.

Some sort of upgrade needed to be done and this appears to be a good one. Should make the dome expierence more modern. Next I would like I a Wegmans food booth. Thanks in advance Dr. Gross

So, when are they going to replace the bleachers with actual seats with armrests and cupholders?

I think it would tough to squeeze seats in and then have people pass in front of you. It's a pain now and bench seats are a lot more narrow than real seats.

I'd love seat, but I don't think the real estate is there in the rows.

They don't need to necessarily replace the bleachers with seats, but they should change the color of the bleachers. Paint them orange or buy new Orange bleachers. That way when the place is 2/3 empty for football games it looks somewhat better on TV and isn't so obvious.

I have seen Orange colored bleacher seatings in many stadiums. Cleveland comes to mind in their NFL stadium. It really does dress it up a bit, not gonna lie.

Yep. Gotta do this at a minimum.

Agreed, as a minimum.

I was in the dome yesterday. The place looks great with the ribbon boards up and the new large boards going up. I just wish they were on when I was in there. Can't wait for the season to start.

I wish the University would let out some pictures of the renovations. Funny that they can have a live webcam of the construction for Dineen but can't show a few pictures of athletic upgrades in progress.

That webcam isn't for your benefit. Is so the Immigration Dept can keep track of all the illegals hired to do the work...

Well, I think the better solution is to fill the seats and then we won't need to paint them.

On the other hand, I would not mind a little more color somewhere...just not sure the seats are the best place to start.

As a lifelong Cleveland fan...Cleveland's NFL stadium consists of orange seats, not bleachers/benches. And, having been at that stadium several times in person, as well as watching the Browns from afar via Sunday Ticket, unfortunately, all them orange empty seats show up just as well...it's painful. :(

I don't get the obsession with the color of the benches. There's enough orange in the dome as it is now. There is a thing as "too much". And, last I checked, empty seats will look bad whether it's orange, silver, or burnt sienna.

The endzone seating area has bleachers/benches just like the Dome and they are orange. I have been there multiple times as well and have sat there almost every time.

Dope!! My bad...total oversight on the specific Dawg Pound area...obviously, it's a section that I'm not personally familar with. :)

I was born there...parents grew up in Little Italy, Murray Hill. Lived in Beachwood/Lynhurst area prior to moving to Syracuse when I was in grade school...dad transferred with GM...Have a lot of relatives still living there...usually trek back every summer for an Indians game or two & a trip to Cedar Point! Usually make a Browns home game before early October...you know, when a Browns fan still has hope. :)
