First a nice win that showed we could play some slobber knocker football and not only hold our own but put up a W
The Good:
as stated above we played a physical game and looked good doing it.
The run defense was spectacular made Pitt totally one dimensional.
The drive at the end of the game where we need to churn out first downs and keep the ball was fantastic just line up and smash them in the face.
The best game of Brandon Sharpe's career he stepped up big time.
The O-line played pretty darn good.
Gulley need to get the ball more on passing plays perhaps more screen passes I think he could do some damage that way.
The new short yardage package was excellent.
Last but not least the Coach's ability to adjust the playbook .
The Bad
Still not working the play makers into positions to make plays for instance perhaps Clark who is the fastest receiver should be used on end arounds, Gulley needs to get the ball in space on screens and the flat more. and nothing that stretched the field last night.
There were nice blitzes and some nice individual plays in the pass defense but man its just overall not good.
The offense has become unpredictable the last three games we have won two out of three but we have only put up 52 points or an average of 17 points a game for the most part that's not going to get it done.
The Ugly
I could actually put a couple things here but Hey we won our first game in a year against a a D1 team. We won a conference game, We are 1-0 in the conference. so How can that be ugly?
