Carney is a freshman, we understand he might not look good. But how are you going to know if you don’t put him in? You’re gonna stick with someone who has been horrible and not go to a backup because he’s a freshman? It wouldn’t hurt one bit to see if Carney can be an improvement over Rickie.

Everyone calling to see Carney, keep this mind: it's clear Collins was prepped as the starter for this week. Which means Carney hasn't had the same game prep. Putting him in is pretty much setting him up to fail. You don't do that. Especially to a freshman qb.

I know this is hard to watch. But realize what you guys are saying. I hate to break it to you, but things aren't going to be better with Carney in there. He's not ready.

I guess. The issue at QB though is clearly causing something. Fran does not seem to be working well with his staff right now as well. Not in alignment on strategy. Fran has always emphasized how important the QB is to the operation. We are seeing the other side of it right now, we’ve seen the good side as well, but not right now.

Heintschal is a good QB but not great. His novelty will wear thin. Pitt is not looking like the team that beat FSU. Narduzzi has his defense playing dirty, it was nice to finally get a call or two for the dirty play.

Fran called for a running play to kill the clock but Nixon called three pass plays.

The defense has been mostly fun to watch.

On Offense, the defense has been fun to watch. I don't want to see Collins. I see improvement but Carney should be able to play this good, if not better.

HCFB is better than Narduzzi with game adjustment, we can still win this game.

No I don't want to play Luke at Georgia Tech and possibly get hurt. This team isn't going anywhere, and after tonight won't make a bowl. So wait until you get back home and start Luke against North Carolina.
That just became another possible loss.
They should have beat California.

Who in their right mind thinks Collins could take a team the length of the field in 40 seconds? Fran is the only one. It was an embarrassment in the final minute. Pitt’s offense has been nothing in the first half except the quarterback run in the first half. Just play smart and hope to steal it in the fourth quarter. Fran blew it with his decision making at the end of the half.
