Their backup quarterback was their starting quarterback until Kenny Pickit took his job two years ago.Roh oh. Better find some film and prepare for this possibility..

Pitt has an OL that is mostly upperclassmen, weighing more than 300 lbs each, blocking for Abanikanda who averages 135 yards per game and had an incredible 330+ in one. Little mystery what they will do.
The problem is that Abanikanda is quick unlike the ND backs who just plowed forward.
I'm having a hard time seeing it.
Our defense only gave up 27 points to tnat ND run game. If our offense can actually function and our defense plays like it did against ND then there is no reason we can’t winIf we can't do a better job stopping the run then we did against ND it will be a similar outcome. Pitts D isnt as good as NDs but it wont matter of were getting run over all game. With the injuries this has become a bad matchup for SU defensively.

Fair point. Another thing that would help is jumping too the lead and forcing them to throw the ball to keep upTrue but ND also could have easily have had another 10pts if not for dumb mistakes. If were giving up 6-7 yards a carry again we have no shot on Saturday

Pitt is a running team but not in the same way that Clemson/ND did it. They just pushed and hoped for 3-5 yd plays, Pitt is actually trying to create holes to run thru.. Lets hope that is what they do Sat.Getting a lead Saturday is absolutely critical. Letting Pitt play football like its 1989 like ND did last week is a recipe for disaster.
The good thing about that though is he is one man, and will get tired. Unlike ND who runs it by committee. Either way we need a healthy QB who can put up points.Pitt has an OL that is mostly upperclassmen, weighing more than 300 lbs each, blocking for Abanikanda who averages 135 yards per game and had an incredible 330+ in one. Let's hope Narduzzi has a meathead coaching plan and insists on a balanced attack and has his QB throw it a lot.If we can't do a better job stopping the run then we did against ND it will be a similar outcome. Offensively the playcalling has become sporadic and the Wr position beyond Gadsden is really bad.

So we looked it up the other night. Since both Pitt targeting ejections were in the first half, they only miss the rest of that game.Pretty sure Pitt's D has a lineman out for the first half---"targetting".
