I don't care to hate too much on penn state as my little cousin went there but my biggest annoyance with the school in general is its over-inflated sense of what it is. They think of themselves as one of the greatest football programs in history when the truth is even at their height some 20-30 years ago they were never in the truly elite group - Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, ND... The truth is as a program they're a notch below the best of all time. The same is true of academics - it's a very good school, very similar to Syracuse but they think of themselves in the same vein as UPenn.
What might be most annoying is their holier than thou attitude that in football they do things "the penn state way" as if they're the moral high ground in college football. You would think they'd have a little more humility lately, but that tweet suggests otherwise.
