Pitts lucky Shrader was out

Didn’t see a lot of the game because I had a commitment today, but what I did see included CDRW miss Gadsden wide open in the red zone. Kid has a big arm, but his accuracy is not there yet.

We keep anointing guys with big arms thinking they are better than who the coach is playing. I think he has talent, but he needs quite a bit of refinement.

Shrader is so far ahead of him right now. I'm sure Lamson is ahead of him as well once healthy

Dude, they just beat the ever living sh** out of us.

Destroyed the right side of our o-line and abused the entire d-line - we have some nice players but we're just a gimmick team unless we get some big, physical linemen on both sides of the ball

If Shrader was healthy we beat would be undefeated.
If Tucker was healthy, Locket, Williams, Thompson, Isiah, Rhino we might be in the playoff discussion. We were really good.

Why Dino played Shrader and Tucker against Wagner given Shrader had been injured and Tucker was as well is beyond me. That was a horrible move. Also dont think for a second that Tucker didnt hurt himself more in that game.

good thing Shrader didn’t negotiate the same agreement that Tucker made in the off-season… or we’d see him out there as a decoy along with Tuck. We’d have the first all-decoy backfield. In that case they’d run the wildcat with mr. hoah.

Anyone watching nd clemson. Clemson dline getting dominated. Makes me feel better.

We just cane out of two brutal games. Were beat up. We dont have shrader. Pitt got us at a very lucky time.

People on this board are fickle. They act like we are natty contenders when we were 6-0 and now act like we will never win another game.

Well the 1987 schedule isn’t walking through that door anytime soon. I doubt McPherson gets through this year’s schedule unscathed.

We need to recruit better depth because we don’t have the option of hoping we don’t get decimated by injuries.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas. We could easily be 3-6 as much as 9-0, rn we are in the middle at 6-3. Time to see where the next three weeks take us. Gator bowl is still in play at 9-3

If NC State posted this when OLeary was out it would have made its way back here and people would have scoffed (oh wait, it did and they did).

But they still only won by 1 possession. We missed a lot of open WR's. 2 that should have been TD's. Run defense was a huge improvement from Clemson and ND
Wilson has a cannon, but lack of accuracy combined with a cannon is not a good thing. His pocket presence is also not good. This was all on the offense, in every category just a mess.

Honestly, who cares? NC State could prob make the argument they’d beat us now even without Leary. Its tough playing a backup qb, in particular, their first game out.

We lost our starter and our back up when Lamson went down. Carlos is raw and has zero time in the program.

In this hypothetical does Pitt get to have their all world RB?
The one that started the season 2nd string behind the guy that played against us yesterday?

The fun thing about this hypothetical is no one can prove you wrong so you can choose to believe it no matter what.
I have walked away from a lot of conversations with my wife for this reason. (Hang on a minute, while I go pound my head against a rock...)

Yes. The guy that leads the country in various categories. Sean Tucker started 4th on our depth chart one year too. Let's not pretend Hammond is better than Izzy. Its all excuses. We were dominated. We were without guys and so were they. Our offense played like garbage. No sugar coating it. I hate the "what if" game. What if Leary played for NC State? What if Oronde drops the pass against Purdue? We lost. Let's own it.

Yes, eveything is woulda, shoulda, coulda. Like Mac said, "If ifs, ands and buts were candy and nuts, every day would be Christmas." The bottom line is 3 consecutive losses and the season is spiraling downward. 6 consecutive losses is a real possibility, the BC game is not a given. However, a quarter of the season remains. Maybe will rise up and use a home field to upset FSU, beat an equally struggling Wake team and take care of BC. I am holding out hope for 9-3.

No but even when GS was not perfect, he made decisions quicker in the pocket. And was a threat to run. Carlos took so much time in the backfield; most OLines and especially SU’s can’t maintain their blocks for that line.
I agree totaly

I'm not saying we weren't dominated. I'm saying that the RB playing doesn't matter. They're both good and we may have played against the better one this weekend. Their situation isn't comparable to ours when Tucker was 4th string. He was a true freshman starting out behind older guys. There's was a younger guy beating out an older guy before he got hurt. Their coaches had seen both of them play extensively before this year. They're both good, and without the injury Hammond may have similar stats.
