How about some optimism?

I'm looking forward to seeing what Adonis and C. Lynch will be able to do after a year in a real S&C program. Add to that list Desir, Crume, Foster and George. These guys all have playing experience and will now start to shape themselves for D1 ball.

Who am I forgetting?

Hale, Trudo, Curtis, Sloan, and Robinson, for me.

I was only looking at freshmen that played, but I'm also excited to see what all of those guys can do - especially Hale.

I'm going to go with Gulley since we haven't seen much of him yet, Curtis as he was doing well until he got injured and how has everyone forgot about Eskridge?

I'm going with guys we saw a little of, but now should have a bigger role. Or guys who may have played quite a bit, but will benefit by being a year older and hopefully better. Kobena, West, Gulley, Lyn, Bromley, Micah Robinson.

Some that are mentioned in this thread, might be guys who are still a year away, may not get significant time until 2013.

Sloan, Curtis, My. Davis, Dy. Davis, Lynch, Reddish and Kobena

also looking forward to getting a glimpse of Hunt in the spring game

Hale- people have said that the coaches really like him. Hopefully he can add a dynamic deep threat.
Eskridge- Also been reported be toyed with WRs in practice. Going to start opposite Lyn.
Desir- Can he be the starting FS? He was apparently a ball hawk in practice.
Myles Davis- Can he come in and start right away? I hope so. the guy is built.
Crume- Can he be the beast in the middle we need to consistently stop the run. Him and Bromley would be nice.
Robinson/Simmons- Without any new additions (Johnson) I would like this to be the new starters at DE. hopefully they can get a good rush on the passer.
Wales- Can he replace Provo? I think he is more athletic and just needs time.
Trudo- will start at RG.
Moore- Just loose some weight and get stronger. will be a beast.
New LB corps- A mix of Spruill, Lynch, M. Davis, D. Davis, Vigille and Diabete will give us a deep, athletic line backing corps that will hopefully make plays.
HUNT- my man, can not wait to see him in action. Looking forward to him getting some snaps on running situations next year. (I hope).

Jerome Smith on Offense, think he can be a 1000 yard guy here.
Durell Eskridge on Defense, think he will be a lockdown cornerback for us.

I'm looking for Gulley. Of course that's for selfish reasons since I've been saying he's a potential big-time guy for two years now. But I still like him. Would love to see him get healthy and get some run.

Dyshawn Davis, Ron Thompson and Hale.

Simmons is a id I'm looking forward to seeing on the field. Also Keenan Hale as a WR. Quite few freshmen coming in that should attract attention by our OC at TE and RB and an outstanding WR in Cornelius. Lots of reasons to be optimistic if the coaches do their jobs properly.Doug must loosen up the offense a little bit or jack up the O-line if he wants to slam the ball up the middle for ball control. If he suceeds you can count on less ticket sales. And he better hope Shasfer and his responsibility can pitch shutouts To be clear on this I am not suggesting deep passes on every play but the passing game must be expanded to make the running game more viable. Make the opponent's D pay for stacking the box.

Dyshawn Davis, Ron Thompson and Hale.
I don't like seeing a little kid making that kind of gesture. I'm not a prude in any way shape or form but a chil copying something he has seen "adults do in a moment of anger isn't a good thing down the road. It is also dangerous if the kid is relatively unprotected and does that to the wrong kind of person. There are whack jobs in our society and they walk among us unnoticed until its too late.

It's just some little Rutgers fan that's pissed off that, well, he's a Rutgers fan.

While I too am excited about many of the guys already listed, the one that I am most excited to see is Hale.

You know for all the p*ssing and moaning about lack of recruting, we sure seem to have alot more young players to be excited about than I recall for quite some time.

I highly doubt that kid to be a Rutgers fan at all. He's wearing a Feyenoord Rotterdam jersey and I'm skeptical of how many Dutch Eredivisie fans would be at a Rutgers game. My guess is he's a Dutch child at a Dutch football match.

We have a lot of hopes for young players who need to step up on both sides of the ball -- because we are losing some mainstays (Chandler, Philip Thomas, Bailey, Provo, Tiller, Harris, Chew) and have some wide-open spots. As for recruiting, people aren't moaning for lack of new faces -- more an issue of lack of sure impact recruits.
Still, good to see that people are looking forward to March.

Correct. I was kidding.

I'm looking forward to Myles Davis and hoping he's a solution in the middle so Spruill can move back outside. Also looking forward to Lynch's development. On O I'm looking forward to see if AAM becomes a consistent hammer for us. Also hoping to see someone (Hale ? Kobena?) develop as a deep threat. Would like to be looking forward to see if we have a future QB but that's not in the cards apparently. I'm fine with Nassib for next year but the refusal to get anyone else PT is frustrating.

Well you know what and how I feel about anything Rutgers buts its a kid so he needs protection and most of all guidance through his misfortune. We must have charity and tolerance for those not as gifted as we are here. I love kids. Not in the Bernie or Sandusky way but I think they need our love and protection. That poor kid is off to a very bad start.

I'm interested to see what Shamarko and Gulley can do if they can stay healthy for a full year. 2 of our most explosive players IMO. Though I didn't see much from him this year except personal fouls, Chandler Jones was talking up Brandon Sharpe on twitter FWIW

Correct. I was kidding.

Excellent. Hated to break it to you otherwise but at least Cali potentially now knows the origins.

If you really wanted to p*ss off the Rutgers fans you'd likely do better with something like this with some block R's photoshopped in.

Very excited about all these players as well. But I was always under the impression that Eskridge was safety and Desir would play corner. Eskridge is almost 6'3" and is pretty solid while Desir is pretty rail thin, maybe 175lbs? Just wondering because this wasn't the first time people have posted that Eskridge would play corner.
