Yea last time I checked we barely have had winter in the last 10-15 years. Or at the very least what we are accustomed to.

It’s the biggest false narrative that’s pushed by our fan base

More to the point, it's the narrative pushed by opposing coaches and recruiters. Same conditions are true for Nebraska, Minnesota, Michigan State, Boston and any school near Chicago. A few inches if snow separate them from SU.
I doubt weather plays much of a part on those who already live in a tough wintery climate.
And somehow the weather didn't stop the many All Americas, eventual NFL-ers, and genuine studs that HAVE attended SU over the decades.
We shouldn't help opposing coaches make this pitch.
