They were Anarchists, and the latest scholarship indicates that one was guilty, one not.Yet we have a communist trial mural greeting us as we enter the quad... :noidea:

Hey, your dad may have known my uncle, he used to write for the PS.Syracuse.com is like that Aunt that always follows up "congratulations on that great thing" with a "but you know" negative thing.
Freaking Bud.
My Dad worked at the Post Standard and said the guys head wouldn't fit in the elevator.
Did that artist not understand that Lucy and Ray Wise are not the same person?Must have been the same person that did the Lucille Ball statue...
Correct. The first one did not look like Ernie.
The statue that's on the quad now is the second attempt, by a different artist.
I don't even think the second attempt is very good or looks like Ernie...but it is 100x better than the first pathetic statue.
This is the best statue IMO. Is located in Elmira and was done by the same sculptor who did the one that sits outside the Dome (Bruno Lucchesi). My recollection is that we couldn't have a duplicate of the Elmira one because the sculptor had broken the mold.I don't even think the second attempt is very good or looks like Ernie...but it is 100x better than the first pathetic statue.
