Plaza 44 statue ceremony rescheduled

they wanted it to be private, now it will be public and unattended. not sure what the priorities were here, the statues were just sitting there with tarps on them at fanfest. let me reiterate that the only time anyone from the community that isn't some kind of die hard is anywhere near that part of campus was fanfest. and this department is so out of touch that they tried to make it into something exclusive. build as many statues as you want, talk to me when we can actually play football again.

Actually having the unveiling on the day after URI would have led to poor attendance. This makes sense to do it before the game, and I like that the SUAD tied in this event with a Veteran's Day tailgate. The last administration would have made any kind of reception for VIP only.

Ho hum. Since I have no reason to go to Manley, I'll probably never see it. The people who park there wii enjoy it though.

Won't there be a conflict between the Clemson game (and its parking permit holders) and the announced complimentary parking for this event?
This is a concern I have as well. For a noon game we usually get there 9-9:30 time frame. Sounds like we'd be lucky to get a spot at that time. A spot we paid for I might add. Sounds like we'll have to get there a lot earlier!

We also park there and get there around 9 for game days... For noon games. There are always some extra spots but if the lot is open that day it will leave a lot of pass holders without a spot.

Is the game definitely at noon? Perhaps we will get a night game or late afternoon game?

Why do people give a about statues?

But these aren't just any statues! These statues sit directly next to a large parking lot, shoehorned in between that expanse of asphalt and a copse of dying trees.

(OK, that's enough snark from me. Seriously, though, hire a landscape architect next time, guys.)
