Better than having a wedding in March. I would flat out refuse to attend if that ever happens.

For the good of the program, dont pray for a nooner. Sad is it may be, there will be at least 1000 more fans at the game if its not at noon. This is a big game for our program for several obvious reasons.

Meh, people should go regardless of the time. I go for the football and not the tailgaiting so I would be there if the game was at 8AM.
What our fans "should" do is irrelevant. They wont go to a noon game.

Agree. I know it seems like a lifetime of SU football ago, but the Tennessee game in 1998 was a noon game. You wouldn't have known by the atmosphere. Probably one of the top 5 all time this Dome's a rockin' games.

No you're giving them way too much credit. Barely cracked 40k for a noon start against #10 UL last year.

No way that atmosphere was Top 5. Top 3 at the worst.

But Louisville was a regular on the schedule. Stale as hell. Clemson is like screwing around on your wife. Curious to see and sexy as hell as a new opponent. Plus they are the highest ranked team to come into the dome in forever.
Not that I have ever cheated on my wife.

That game was ridiculous. I remember after they made the game winning field goal I was standing on my seat and jumped as high as I could (which isnt very high) in disgust and came down and literally broke the bench seating and almost caused a riot. That was back in my fat days before I lost some weight.
BINGO. Are people really referencing Tennessee as a reason for being pro-noon game? LOL We were a top 10 team that year. We went in to Michigan and beat them the next game.
We had MAYBE 40,000 last year vs Louisville and that was when we were better than we are now and had a buzz. There really isnt any logical case to be made for noon, unless you have a wedding or a funeral.

IMO, the most likely outcome is as follows. Miami-Georgia Tech get the Primetime if ABC wants to do a split ABC Primetime game if not they are 3:30 ESPN2/ABC. Florida State-Maryland is either ESPN following Gameday or is at 3:30ESPNU and Syracuse gets whatever FSU-Maryland doesn't get either 12 on ESPN or 330 ESPNU.
One thing people aren't factoring in which I just realized ESPN is buring NASCAR Busch Series on ESPNEWS now so that could open up a 2nd window for a 3:30 on ESPN if they continue putting NASCAR which is a product they just lost in the future on their lowest rated ESPNEWS channel and put more college football on ESPN and ESPN2.

After the TD at 9:49 mark in the 4th the band is playing the fight song and the crowd is so loud you can barely hear it.

Since 2002, we have cracked 45k twice for a noon game. First against BC in 2003, 45,313. Next was Doug Marrone's opener against MN, 48617 .
During that same time frame we broke the 45k barrier 6 number of times that weren't noon starts:
11.9.02 vs #8 VT 3:30pm: 48,239
11.30.02 vs #1 Miami 1:00pm: 45,679
12.6.03 vs ND 1:00pm: 48,170
9.4.05 vs WV 1:30pm: 45,418
9.13.08 vs PSU 3:30pm: 45,745 **** (this probably doesn't count since they were all PSU fans)
9.21.11 vs WV 8:00pm: 45,265
