We keep hearing about points in the paint. I decided to compute points outside the paint as a measure of how we were shooting jump shots. Not all jump shots are three pointers. The formula is simple: Total Points - Points in the Paint, (available from the SU athletics box scores), minus free throws. Let’s take a look:
