Agree on the final point and, given that, right now have a hard time seeing why I should continue to travel 4 hours each way to games and contribute $500+ each weekend to SU and the CNY economy. I suspect a large number of season ticket holders will be having the same doubts. With only a few exceptions the last two years SU should have been paying me to attend games at the Dome; once inside it has not been an uplifting experience.

Making Dan Bartlett's job a lot harder. But at the same time, ensuring his job security.

I find it hard to judge this year with the spate of injuries this year. Has SS done a great job? Not at all. I don't get the calling for his head after one bad season.

I'm keeping my season tix and I'll also continue my 4 plus hour trek to Syracuse for the games. If I can survive the GRob error, I can survive anything.

Chris is an A+ poster for me but he is giving injuries as the excuse for our terrible year. I would say injuries have hurt but SS and his offensive coaching staff suck.

playing a freshman qb that we were trying to redshirt this year dropped our win total to 3 or 4( despite everything against pitt we can beat bc,we have looked like vs pitt for 7 or 8 years. ) Coaching staff is inexperienced but with no reason to believe were going to pay for a proven staff gotta hope they get better next year or total gut

Most of the people on this board are season ticket holders and I like you live 800 miles from CNY. I won't tell you to continue spending your money as its your decision. I get frustrated as much as you but I remember my time as a student and the good times on campus to justify continuing my tickets.
The product has been pathetic this year and if Syracuse was serious about FB Scott Shafer is canned but he is getting year 3 I just hope barring a bowl next year he doesn't get year 4.

Do just a little reaserch on this!! He had possibly the worst team ever in cfb last year and than all of the sudden boom 8-3 this year. WMU alums love the guy and the fanbase is buzzing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but SS was dealt a tough hand. His first year as HC we join the ACC which is top to bottom a better league than the Big East. Now in year 2 the team is riddled with injuries up and down the roster in key positions. I think he is doing a good job recruiting and the team has played solid for most of the year but has had some really bad luck. I say this is another case of people thinking the unknown is better that what we have. I say give him another year or 2 to build the recruits and hopefully get some luck on our side.

At the beginning of the season, if you had said Hunt only plays 4 games and Ashton/Estime were out after 2-3 games and the line was playing kids off of the two deep - not a single person here would predict a bowl game. And yet, we have people saying "no more excuses!!!!l"

Oregons only loss this year was when they had 2 linemen hurt for the game. OSU lost just one player who just happened to play qb and they got crushed by a 5-6 VT. SS/staff has made mistakes but seriously the injuries crushed the Orange.

This isn't Ohio State. HCSS isn't going anywhere because most of the BOT doesn't really care about winning. At a major football school you would have powerful BOT members lobbying to kick a losing coach's a$S out the door. not even totally convinced he will be out after another losing season next year if he wins more than 3 games.

So if we were completely healthy, without any injuries (which is literally is a fairy tale in CFB), we would have 6 or 7 wins? Who are the wins?

People want to forget our staff getting severely out coached in the season opener against an FCS club with 260lb defensive lineman. Then we beat a bad CMU 30-0, but we experienced the same problems, settling for 3 field goals inside the red zone. Fact is we weren't that good before all the injuries, with a pretty experienced team (especially offense).
