The top 12 teams stayed put from last week’s rankings, as Syracuse earned the No. 1 ranking with all 21 first-place votes. Northwestern, Denver and James Madison follow.


Syracuse’s top-ranking marks its fourth-straight as they head into one of their toughest tests yet, slated to face North Carolina on Saturday.

There were, however, significant shifts between the No. 13 and No 25 rankings over the past week, most notably No. 17 Penn jumping five spots after beating Yale 16-6 last Saturday.

Penn is undefeated in the Ivy League, and USC topped rival Stanford on Sunday.
