Syracuse has won back-to-back 6-5 results and is on a seven-game winning streak.

SU should be fourth but the voters are finally recognizing this team is legit.

crazy that syracuse is top 5 and bc is unranked. I know some like to harp on draw controls, but they are less important that most believe when you cause turnovers on defense. biggest issue is the offenses lack of punch, especially against zones. work in progress, but need to figure it out. things are definitely looking good to be at home for the opening weekend of the playoffs. that said, there are some challenging games coming up. pitt is much improved, even thought they have a losing record, they have been in every game outside of unc (who can't say that). then there is the three game run of duke, nd and bc to close the regular season. all of those teams have been up and down this year and I expect them to be gunning for cuse to try and get a top 5 win because they aren't going to get it against unc.

If the offense can be figured out... big if, this could be the year for Cuse. Maybe I am way off, but as said above, everyone including UNC is beatable. Especially if the defense is playing like they are capable.

coaches poll is laughable. I can almost see having JHU in front of SU but to have michigan and florida ahead also is crazy. Florida has one good win (#10 Clemson in OT) and Michigan is getting too much credit for their one goal wins over BC and Colorado. Oh well, cronyism is alive and well in women's lacrosse.

BC and Stanford was another really good game today. BC on a role too similar to how Cuse has done this year.
