Polls for Sept 21: AP (NR) / Coaches 37

Teaser by AP before release

Who else might move? Wins by Syracuse over Clemson and TCU over the once-ranked SMU leave both victors knocking on the door of the rankings.

Edit

And then we proceed to receive zero media votes.

Why would the AP even post that if we had zero votes?

Cuse loses a somewhat competitive game to Tennessee and beats Clemson handily in Death Valley and gets no votes.

Illinois loses by 53! to Indiana! And has nothing else on the resume, and is still ranked. W T ?

If we played in order with the same results, Clemson, Yukon, Colgate, Tennessee, we would be ranked about 15 and Tennessee would be about 10.

Only the CFP matters. First one is Tuesday after UNC Game.

If they can win their home games, maybe get SMU. Being 7-2 with losses to Tennessee and Georgia Tech will absolutely get us ranked. Hell, 6-3 may get them. They will boost us for Tennessee.

Georgia Tech just barely won at home against Clemson. By the time we get to them they might not have a QB, and both our lines are better then theirs. Do you really think they would have been competitive if they had played at Clemson? I don't think they would have been close.
