Absolutely crucial road game vs Pitt. Gotta change the perception that we had an easy ride to 6 wins and could lose out. Beat pitt, we know we’re legit time to prove it
We beat Pitt we’re all but guaranteed an 8 win season.. at worst. It would totally change things and give us much needed momentum.

I hear you. But I think once Dino makes the switch he’s not going back. Dino saw CDR make passes and not look lost in the moment.
I think he lets him play until GS is healthy.
That wasn't CDB's sentiment in the post game presser. He grudgingly gave CDRW a "C" grade, and didn't have much good to say about him. He said GS is the QB if he's healthy, and that there is no QB controversy.

Dino is notoriously hard on new QB’s. Normally the first time a new QB steps on the field he only let’s him handoff. Then he tells the media that it’s baby steps and the QB has a lot to learn and blah blah blah.

I’m not knocking his method - whatever works is good with me.

But let’s be honest CDR played better than a C (if we’re grading on a curve for his first real action)

And it’s highly doubtful Shrader’s going to be healthy this sat. Ankle injuries don’t heal up quickly.
So I expect CDR to play Sat and GS will assume the starting job when he can effectively run again. But that could easily be 2-3 weeks (pure speculation on my part)

I agree with you about CDRW being better than a "C" against ND. I was surprised to hear CDB shade him like that. But I don't know the whole story between the two, and maybe that is CDB's odd way of motivating him.

Personally, as soon as I heard it on our way home my gut feeling was Dino protecting Garrett and blocking a QB controversy. As exciting as CDRW is, a healthy GS is our undisputed QB1.

FWIW, and it isn't worth much of course, the guy at The Athletic is projecting us to be 20th in the CFP rankings that come out tonight.

I saw a projection someplace that had us 23rd.

I feel like how we are placed in the rankings could really impact the locker room. A solid CFP ranking may lift some spirits.
