Unfortunately, my tape recorder kicked out on me last night after a candid conversation with Syracuse LT Sean Hickey. Tweets on it coming.

Hickey, not generally a vocal guy, addressed teammates after the 28-6 loss to U of L. Told them Syracuse was 2-3 last year and made a bowl.

Hickey said part of his message was not to point fingers. The moment that starts happening, he said, the season is down the drain.

Hickey reiterated that there is no blame being passed right now. Just a whole lot of frustration on the offensive side of the ball.

Hickey thought there were some offensive tweaks that could have been made earlier in the game. Resulted in Adonis' two long runs in Q4.

If it doesn't show, I could see how much it hurt Hickey. Eyes a bit watery. Maintained that the team is fighting together. Just tough.

And one more: Hickey mentioned how proud he was of G Omari Palmer playing well at RT. Not easy to move outside and hold your own. He did.
