Postgame Thoughts… Wake Forest game 2

Nice game. This is how I hoped we play. It just hasn’t happened enough.

2nd half the zone was the most active it’s been all season.

How much you think it cost to get Giannis to come?

Whatever it was well done by Mr. Weitsman they brought excitement and energy to the atmosphere.

I would think at least 50k, but it ain’t my money so glad Weitsman doesn’t care to drop that kind of dough. Really is strange though that guys like Brady and the Greek Freak would even entertain the thought of going to see some random schools play bball.

Yeah I get it but 50k for a day or having some fun and its a day off i would do it.

They are flying private and its not like they would do much at home.

As always… winning is nice. Fantastic second half. Especially on defense. Forced some turnovers, some for transition hoops. That’s what we are used to (historically).

Buddy was on fire this game. Clearly capable but the up and down can really swing for him and really impacts the overall team.

Jesse got called for some absolutely awful fouls. 3 of the 4 were just…. awful. As in, they weren’t fouls.

Cole was great. We need that.

Joe made some very nice passes as well especially pushing the action.

Bench was fantastic first half. Symir got inside, Frank threw it down, and Benny was extremely active.

To the last point… I just don’t understand why he wouldn’t get in again in the second half. It’s just so weird to me. Of all games, too.

And a buzzer beater by Andy Dalton! S16 incoming.

When we make shots like that, it excites our effort on defense, and we can beat anybody in the country, pretty much.

Good win, but we need some consistency really badly right now.

I’m guessing way way way more, 7 figures. They’re in their season traveling to Syracuse NY. They could probably make 50k showing up at a car dealership in Milwaukee.

Really encouraged by the bench play. Great to get a win. The team really deserved to have a game that was as fun as this one was. Hope the feeling leads to more awesome games.

The Greek Freak is a bit odd because it's in season and they played last night. For Brady why not it's the off-season it's two legendary programs. Not that far of a trip he was living in Boston at the time.

Amazing game best game we played all year long my only complain is JB has to get the bench some run in the second half. Even if it is a short rotation 4 minutes or whatever. He can’t justify keeping jimmy on floor and Benny on the bench the entire second half. Just like the PITT game these are golden opportunities to play him extended minutes where a mistake here or there doesn’t hurt the team.

A GREAT WIN! Which we needed right now and need to continue to do. If we play like this which we can, we are going to win more games - logical right. Congrats to us and the students and band back to support the team. If we can beat them at 17-4 we can beat anyone in this league.

This is the way this team is capable of playing all the time, why they haven't is a good question. If you play to win you have to have a balanced game, O & D, play active defense and be quick to the ball, get out on a team that wants to shoot threes, keep your hands up in the 2-3 force steals, get deflections and create turnovers. And on the offensive end shoot 3's and drive the lane. Stop forcing your looks - get to your spot and make the shot. Joe made was big tonight passing and really concentrating on his game.

You have to admit when Buddy is on he makes a huge difference and he needs to every game, that's asking a lot there are ups and downs. He made, tonight, the looks he's had all along - he just made them tonight. It looked like he was both aggressive but relaxed with his release and follow from the three.

If we can continue this type of play and there is no reason we can't we should do well the rest of the way.

Hoping to see a few more wins like this. Must be a big relief for the players and coaches after that Pitt loss. You know these guys don't want to be the team with a losing record.
It sure did wonders for my mood.

I am convinced though if we had Buddy on the 2014 team he was the missing piece to win a NC.
