Potential 2025-26 Roster

2 He is way too weak for the three at this point
If we have good rebounding bigs at the 4 and 5, we could go back to a three guard lineup some of the time, with Portal PG, Starling and K Anthony playing together for periods. Starling might actually guard a SF better than he does guards. Strength isn’t his problem.

That team would be as bad as this year’s
It would all depend on who we get for PG and Center.

Starling, Freeman and White are all perfectly acceptable players, and the team would have depth, also recruited from the portal.

I’m really interested in the role Fennell can play next year. I have no idea how he will transition to the college game. He does have experience playing in big games. Highly skilled and confident player.

This is good news in my opinion. The talks are happening and he must've been told we're not just bring in 1 PG, looking to bring in 3-4 Portal Guards to fight it out.

It's just business it's not personal.

There’s also Fennell, Anthony and Womack coming in too. If JJ and Moore come back you don’t need anymore.

Hope that is true. I actually like him - toughness completely lacking in the rest of the team. Wish him well. Seemed like an great teammate who gave his all.

I can’t see Red going with a 4 guard rotation of Fennell, Anthony, JJ, and Moore. I don’t think Womack factors in next year.

But it could mean they think we just need 1 really good portal guard (or two if Moore leaves). So still no room at the inn for Kyle.

All we need is the point guard from Drake. The kids shoots it and plays his butt off. He will probably follow his coach to his next job.

This one surprised me. Cuffe expressed that he wants to stay here, so I assume that he was given the talk that he is not in the plans for next season. Seems like a good kid - wish him the best. St. John’s is a great destination for him being that he is from NYC, and a great coach like Pitino can figure out how to get the most out of him. For our program, he really shouldn’t be hard to replace so I hope we don’t muff it up.

Mike Waters is a gem and we're lucky to have him. What a nonsense post.

He's a good writer, but his knowledge of the game is lacking for someone that covers a major D1 program. Donna's understanding of the game is light years ahead of his. There is a plethora of writers on places like Substack that cover college basketball and know the game inside and out and their content is completely free. I know you can't say anything bad about the feel good people around Syracuse basketball, but that doesn't change the truth.

There are many in the business who would say you’re dead wrong. He’s a hall of fame reporter with numerous awards for his writing.
