Had a great time at the game today and now I have a much more positive outlook on our future. However even before the game started today I saw something that made the trip up to the Dome worthwhile. Sitting in front of me was a dad and his son, maybe eight years old. Dad was dressed head to toe in FSU gear and was talking to his son all about the game and where the players would be standing ect. Even though he was cheering for the wrong team we can all appreciate a parent sharing his passion with their kid. Well the dad had the son ready to go for the start and then it happened. Otto came out on his motorcycle as he has every game this year but the kid lost it! He was cheering and jumping up and down ... He was so excited about Otto. His dad just shook his head. It was awesome to watch!

They used to have 1 - 2 Otto's walking around the dome during the game to meet with kids. Haven't seen them in a couple years. Seems like a small expense to give kids a reason to want to come to the game. There should be at least 4 Otto's walking around the dome for every game. Maybe 8.

The point of the mascot is to have one unifying symbol. You can't have 8 of the same mascot, that's just weird.

Please don't tell me it was that FSU maroon color motorcycle. Can't they get that thing painted orange. When i was at the Dome for Maryland he came out on a maroon color bike. Kind of embarising seeing your mascot come out on a bike with your opponents colors on it. Maybe I'm being picky but its the little things that get me.

Otto is a great mascot, and the students who play him do a really great job.

Was at a work event at Citi Field this season. Mr. Met, surrounded by security, walks by and kids are screaming for him. He did not stop or acknowledge the kids in any way. Some of the adults in our group, not affiliated with the kids in any way, let him know he was an a******.

Least they could have done was send Otto out on the platinum-colored bike.

At a game a year or two ago in the 3rd quarter Otto came to the section I was sitting in and it became a zoo. They had to call a cop and multiple security people to get him out of there because every kid within 3 sections on both sides were running, climbing over people, and just going nuts trying to hug Otto and get a picture with him. It was literally an out of control scene and how nobody got hurt I have no idea. A few security people and a cop had to escort Otto out of the stands. I haven't seen them ever bring Otto back up in the stands again in that area or anywhere else really.

Exactly my point. My nephew met Otto at one of his first FB games and has been a SU fan since. I'd like my daughter to have the same experience, hopefully she'll be throwing kids out of her way trying to give Otto a hug.
