Those 1 seeds were a lot better than the 1 seeds this year.

I dont think georgetown is getting a #1 seed in the next 5 years. So its not a guarantee.

But you just made the best possible point here. The 1 seeds these days are, in most cases, nowhere near as good as they used to be. That's the important thing here. It's more about how the 1 seeds are coming back to the pack than how the 16 seeds are catching up.

If they keep adding play in games, the 16 seeds will only get tougher.

The first one is gonna take the right circumstances to come together. Kinda like how we had investigation issues going on around the same time as Richmond got us. Once the first 1 seed goes down, the challenge will get a little easier, and we may see 1 go down every 5-10 years or so.

im with ya... i said before tourney started that there was a 40% chance of 1 of the 1 seeds losing to a 16.
